Position Summary

QED is seeking a motivated and talented sales professional to join our team in Marlton, New Jersey.

The Sales Associate will work within the QED business development team to represent QED and demonstrate the QED financial data management platform to prospective customers as a solution for their investment management, portfolio accounting, analysis and reporting, and financial data management needs.

The Sales Associate will communicate the features and benefits of the QED platform through product demonstrations and presentations directly to buy-side institutional investment plans, asset managers, wealth managers, portfolio managers, investment trading professionals, and accounting professionals.

Position Responsibilities

This position is appropriate for a professional financial services candidate who has developed essential skills in the sale of enterprise software at the executive level and who will work both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team to support business development activities.

  • Achieve quarterly and annual sales quota;
  • Develop and maintain the necessary pipeline to exceed quarterly and annual sales quota;
  • Successfully conduct targeted sales campaigns;
  • Accurately identify and qualify prospective clients for the QED platform including: understanding the prospective client’s business challenges and objectives, and developing a solution to the prospective client’s business objectives through in-context demonstrations of the features and benefits of the QED platform;
  • Develop professional sales presentations including assessment of value propositions;
  • Professionally manage sales activity including expense and revenue goals;
  • Effectively use Salesforce.com to manage and record relevant sales process information;
  • Work with the product and business analysis teams to develop requirements specifications, functional specifications, and workflow documentation;
  • Perform other related duties as required

Position Qualification Requirements

    Education
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent in finance or related discipline required;
  • Completion of Solution Selling or Stategic Selling training is a plus;
    Experience
  • A minimum of three to five years of relevant work experience in Financial Technology is required;
  • Portfolio accounting, investment performance measurement and analysis, and trade order management experience is a plus;
    Knowledge
  • Knowledge of investments, securities, and financial accounting principles is required;
  • Understanding of performance measurement evaluation and reporting methodologies is a plus;
  • Familiarity with financial statements and reports processing is a plus;
    Professional Skills
  • Proficiency in the creation of a qualified sales pipeline is required, including: development of organized sales campaign strategies, and execution of verbal and written sales communications tactics to support strategies;
  • Proficiency in the demonstration and presentation of enterprise level software is required;
  • Proficiency in the management of the sales cycle is required, including: assessment of the prospective client’s business challenges and objectives, identification of the prospective client’s decision makers and business process owners, qualification of prospective client’s objectives assessed in the context of proposed solutions appropriately engage QED team members to contribute to the sales cycle;
  • Broad range of experience with computer software, hardware, operating systems (including Sun Microsystems and Microsoft Windows), web servers, and web clients is a plus;
  • Experience with Business Intelligence reporting including Jaspersoft is a plus;
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills are required;
  • Ability to adapt to changing client needs and priorities and to work independently and concurrently on several projects is required;
  • Comfortable working on, and contributing to, a dynamic and evolving software platform;
  • Excellent critical thinking and multitasking skills and the ability to maintain focus on multiple priorities with a demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and assignments is required;
  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose and discuss problems as they arise, research possible solutions as necessary, and resolve problems in a timely and satisfactory manner is required;
  • Ability to travel up to 50% is required;

This position is designated as sensitive based on access to detailed client investment data and activities that might enable insider trading or theft, and is subject to a criminal background check.
