  EXPANDED FUNCTIONALITY! QPM Performance Measurement Tools
   

QPM is a new, leading edge performance measurement analysis and reporting tool that extends Q2's GIPS-compliant accounting and performance reporting engine. Fully integrated with Q2, QPM offers an intuitive, easy-to-use interface for slice-and-dice performance analysis and report generation. Standard and user-crafted views are easily configurable, provide for custom branding, and offer diverse, board-quality formatting and statement generation options.

Custom composites, investment group returns, and benchmark selections can be generated on the fly and saved for ongoing production reporting. Dynamic associations can be created to aggregate nearly any combination of account hierarchy, sub-fund relationship, or reporting entity either in detail, summary, or chart form. Valuation components such as market-value, external flows, principal/proceeds, fees, and ROR metrics are reportable in detail for each discrete investment holding, as well as for weighted and aggregated composites.

Use of QPM requires engagement of QED Professional Services for system and database configuration.

Approved Issues List

Statutory or committee-approved lists of securities eligible for trade and holding can be maintained by Q2. Q2 can interrogate each trade and holding for compliance with the appropriate guidelines and generate email- or report-based notifications of exceptions. Since Q2 processes updates to approved list constituents on an as-of basis and maintains historical record keeping, compliance can be verified for any current of historical period. Various flags and control settings can be combined with the Q2 Active Compliance Monitor to form an effective infrastructure that helps to ensure compliance with investment policy and guidelines.

Q2 Compliance Monitor compares intra-day, cumulative trading activity and portfolio composition against client-specific rule sets and generates email and reporting alerts when conditions exceed established guidelines. Numerous baseline metrics such as position size, issue exposure, market value, and trading quantity are maintained in real time throughout the day for pinpoint accuracy during evaluation. External information such as real-time pricing feeds, OMS trade size, and executions can also be linked into the application.

Because investment guidelines are unique and vary widely across institutions, this feature was designed to utilize customized rule sets that must be created for each client installation and therefore requires client engagement of QED Professional Services.

     
  EXPANDED FUNCTIONALITY! DTCC Central/Local Trade Match and Affirmation
   

Q2's leading affirmation module has been extended to include numerous new features that automate the trade settlement process with DTCC. A new interface eliminates the need for Q2 operators to utilize third-party custodians for settlement. Instead, they can streamline their operations by using the completely integrated and automated DTCC interface to retrieve trade confirmations, reconcile confirmations with system trades, and electronically transmit trade affirmations.

The interface, used in conjunction with the Q2 three-pane pair-off blotter, includes tools that allow operators to quickly identify, manage, evaluate, and resolve mismatched transaction records. Each reconciliation procedure includes a standard report that provides detailed information on unmatched, near-matched, and matched records and highlights any offending fields.

QBI, QED's new Business Intelligence portal and report presentation suite, offers professional report design and data analysis tools for crafting board-quality reporting packages, financial statements, and Web content in various formats, including HTML and Adobe PDF.

QBI's extensive layout and formatting tools make it a breeze to create comprehensive, data-rich, presentation-quality exhibits. Users can create branded reports by easily adding logos, graphs, photos, comments, page headers and footers, totals, and custom calculations to their reports. Multi-part layouts, summary breakouts, and sub-reports can be consolidated onto a single page to provide concise presentation of multifaceted information that conveys a more professional and appealing look and feel. What's more, QBI reduces or eliminates the need for purchasing, maintaining, and using third-party, disjointed report writing and publishing software to build the professional-quality reports that customers demand.
